Bhubaneswar: A mobile app has been developed to access the state budget from anywhere digitally. The name of the app is called “Odisha Budget” and was developed by Odisha finance department.
Anyone can download the required documents and use them for their required purpose. The app is available for both Anroid and IOS operating system. Mast documents related to budget like Budget at a glance, annual financial statement, revenue receipts, guide to use the app etc. Most documents are available in both English and odiya language. Before this app, people used to wait for all the budget related documents until they were uploaded in the finance department website. As it is now available in mobile app, the printing of huge number of documents will be saved which ultimately saves around 700 big trees according to the reports. So the physical printing of the Budget documents of financial year 2020 is reduced in this way. The officials also added that from next year, they will make it completely paperless.
