Guwahati: With a repulsive red tone and immense crest of smoke, a little creek in upper Assam has been ablaze throughout the previous two days after a raw petroleum pipeline in the territory detonated. The little creek of the Burhi Dihing River in Dibrugarh locale’s Naharkatia town, more than 400 km from Guwahati, ejected on fire on Saturday. Oil India guarantee that the fire is leveled out and a group of specialists are at the area to splash it. The fire may have been lit by individuals after the unrefined petroleum spilled into the stream, they asserted. Oil India specialists said that the spillage occurred in view of an “uncommon instrumentation mistake” in the focal tank siphon where the raw petroleum from all Oil India fields in upper Assam area is gathered.
