New Delhi: Shops will open across the country from today. A directive has been issued by the Union Home Ministry to conditionally open shops. But that’s not for Malls and shopping complexes. The Union Home Ministry has issued a directive to open shops with conditions. Shopping malls or shopping complexes will not open in metropolitan corporations and municipalities. Single brand malls will not also open. However, non-essential stores will remain open. Residential colleges and markets will remain open. But shops will not open in the hotspot zones or contentment zone. The essential store, which was open during the lockdown, will remain open. Only 50 percent of the people in the shop can work. Employees will maintain social distance. “It is mandatory to ware masks and follow sanitization rules,” said Home Secretary Abhay Bhallah. The second phase of the lockdown will continue until May 3 next month.
