PMLA case: Former ICICI Bank CEO Chanda Kochhar conceded bail

New Delhi: Former ICICI Bank CEO Chanda Kochhar conceded bail by a unique PMLA court on Friday regarding the ICICI Bank-Videocon illegal tax avoidance case.

The extraordinary court for Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) had on January 30 gathered Chanda Kochhar, her better half Deepak Kochhar, Videocon Group advertiser Venugopal Dhoot and others blamed for the situation in the wake of taking cognizance of the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) charge sheet.

In like manner, Chanda Kochhar showed up under the watchful eye of exceptional court judge A Nandgoankar.

Following her appearance, her legal advisor Vijay Agarwal documented her bail application. The court permitted the equivalent on an obligation of Rs 5 lakh.

The ED had captured her better half Deepak Kochhar in September 2020 after it documented a criminal case for illegal tax avoidance dependent on a FIR enrolled by the CBI against the Kochhars, Dhoot, and others.
