From SOA NSS, World Environment day celebrated

Bhubaneswar: On the occasion of World Environment Day, program officers from six educational institutions under the Education and Research (Deemed to be University) have organized two events in Kalashakti village, Saint Campus online training and awareness program. A total of 355 NSS volunteers were trained at the event. Similarly, on behalf of the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Education Institute under the Human Resource Development Department of the Government of India. The coordinator of the program, Dr. K.S. Nachiketa Sharma participated. Volunteers were divided into five groups and trained on hygiene and health, water conservation, waste management, and greenery and energy conservation. Each of the NSS’s 50 volunteers will be divided into five groups and a team leader will be selected for each team. This will lead to programs on important issues related to the environment in the Poshya village  and a draft will be prepared, ”Sharma informed.

This includes the Institute of Technical Education and Research (ITER), the Institute of Agricultural Sciences (IAS), the School of Hotel Management (SHM), the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences (SPS), Institute of Business and Computer studies (IBCS), Sum Nurshing college (SNC) students were present.

The program officers who conducted the training program were Dr. Shantilata Champati, Jeevanjyoti Mahakud from ITER, from IAS, Dr Chakradhar Patra, Dr. Saroj Kumar Mohanty, Dr Satya Narayan Japath, Sukirti Mohanty, Rakesh Roshan Shatpathy, Dr. Shovan Pattanayak, Dr. Rajaram Mohapatra, Lalatendu Mishra, Bhagyashree Khamari and Alka Samantaray from IBCS. In the coming days at the same time, the online awareness campaign in Poshya village under the Run India campaign will be conducted.
