In West Bengal, the storm killed 72 people

West Bengal: Cyclone Amphan landed in West Bengal’s Sundarbans yesterday. The wind speed was reported to be about 185 kmph during the landfall. West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said 72 people had been killed in West Bengal. Of those, 24 were killed in South Chabisha-Pragana districts, while 15 were killed in and around Kolkata. Mamata Banerjee also said that hundreds of people were injured in the storm.
