Bhubaneswar – Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) has extended a helping hand to the government, local administration and the people for the fight against Covid-19 in three districts of Odisha, from its factories or mines in the vicinity of the mine. The JSPL Foundation distributes dry and cooked food to the poor and needy in the local area, as well as distributing masks, soaps, hand wash, etc. used to prevent COVID-19. Through various camps, the JSPL Foundation is raising awareness about various ways to protect against coronavirus infection. Like various JSPL companies in India, the JSPL Foundation has launched “Mission Zero Hunger” from Angul, Badbil and Tesa in Odisha. At the event, the JSPL Foundation is providing cooked food, benefiting truck drivers, migrants and other vulnerable people who are having problems due to lockdown. At the same time, the local administration is distributing more than 3,500 cooked and dried food daily in these three places. The Angul district administration and the Odisha State Disaster Management Authority have lauded the work of the JSPL Foundation on Twitter. “Mission Zero Hunger” JSPL is an important program for the prevention of hunger and food security,” said Mrs. Shal Jindal, chairperson of the Foundation.
