Jagatsinghpur (Pratap Kumar Singh): Former PCC editors and centenarians left the Congress and joined the BJP before the by-elections. Many leading Congress leaders, along with their supporters, resigned from the Congress today and joined the BJP. However, in the run-up to the by-elections, the party is said to be in jeopardy. Krishnachandra Mallick, former PCC editor, former Tirtol chairman SK Abdul Fayyaz, Jagatsinghpur district council president Prayadarshini Bishwal, Vail block chairman Sujata Mohanty. Kanakpur Sarpanch Namita Raul, Tulang Panchayat Former Sarpanch Rashmi Ranjan Das, Pass Convener Devendra Kumar Mallick, Congress Leader Nivedita Mahant, Tulang Zone President Dhirendra Kumar Patra, Ibru Gram Panchayat President Santosh Das, Tirtol Block President Gangadhar Bishwal and many activists in the BJP were included.
