Migrant workers will return to Odisha from Gujurat by bus

Bhubaneswar: Hundreds of workers are stranded in Gujarat as the lockdown continues. It is learned that the trapped Odiyas will return by bus from Gujarat. The decision was taken after talks with Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. Today, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik held talks with the Gujarat Chief Minister through a video conference.
Union Minister Dhamendra Pradhan was also present. However, it has been decided to form a committee comprising four senior officers from both Gujarat and Odisha to bring the expatriate Odiyas from there. According to the chief minister’s office, the decision will be taken after the bus is cleared. On the other hand, all migrant workers wishing to return to Odisha are required to register and will be quarantined upon their return.
