Odisha government to sell Jagannath Mandir’s 35,272 acres of land of land

Bhubaneswar: Odisha government to sell Jagannath Mandir,  Odisha serves Pratap Jena has educated that the Naveen Patnaik government has started the interaction to sell almost 35,272 sections of land that has a place with Shree Jagannath Mandir in the state. Jena while answering an inquiry posed by MLA Mohan Charan Majhi, said that the house that 60,426.943 sections of land for the sake of Lord Jagannath have been recognized in 24 areas. The sanctuary organization has recovered 34,876.983 sections of land up until now.

“Steps are being taken to sell the recovered land according to the Saman Niti (uniform arrangement) endorsed by the public authority,” he said.

He said that a structure at Bharati Mutt in Cuttack, 315.337 sections of land of Jagannath land in a few locales have been sold out. A sum of Rs 11.20 crore has been saved in the sanctuary corpus reserve.

Moreover, properties have likewise been distinguished in six different states and concerned authorities are being reached to sell them. The public authority has distinguished 395.252 sections of land in West Bengal (322.930 sections of land), Maharashtra (28.218 sections of land), Madhya Pradesh (25.110 sections of land), Andhra Pradesh (17.020 sections of land), Chhattisgarh (1.700 sections of land) and Bihar (0.274 sections of land).

He said that Rs 3 lakh income is produced yearly from 582.255 sections of land of place where there is Lord Jagannath that is rented out to Odisha Cashew Development Corporation in Khorda.

The public authority has likewise concluded that the individuals who have infringed sanctuary land for beyond what 30 years can claim the land by paying Rs. 6 lakh for every section of land. The individuals who infringed the land for under 30 however over 20 years should pay Rs.9 lakh per section of land. The individuals who have infringed the land under 20 years however over 12 years should pay Rs.15 lakh per section of land to claim the land.
