Rs 32 per kg Onion in Goa for ration card holders

The Goa government is set to acquire 1,045 metric huge loads of onion from an organization in Maharashtra’s Nashik region and gracefully the staple to 3.5 lakh proportion card holders at a sponsored rate, a senior authority said on Saturday.

The state bureau had on Wednesday endorsed a proposition to give onions at a financed rate after the cost of the product expanded considerably. “The Goa government has requested 1,045 metric huge loads of onion from Nashik-based National Agriculture Cooperative Marketing Federation and the staple will be given to all apportion card holders,” said Siddhivinayak Naik, head of the state Civil Supplies Department. A sum of 3.5 lakh proportion card holders would be given 3 kgs of onion each at Rs 32 for every kg by holding an extraordinary drive over all reasonable value shops, the authority said.
