The Scholarship of Teaching and Research (STTR) is an innovative program that applies theory, research, and practice in the teaching and research industry. This program was established in collaboration with the National Association for School Marketing and Administration (NASM) to increase the variety and quality of knowledge in K-12 education. The Scholarship covers tuition and related costs for graduate-level degrees in elementary, middle school, secondary, and post-high school education. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of demonstrated leadership in research, excellence in teaching, commitment to community service, or the service at home.

There is a separate Teaching Assistant Scholarship Program that helps graduate and post-graduate students in areas such as special education, deaf studies, and teaching methods and philosophy. In this program, the teaching assistants assist qualified teachers with lesson planning, grading, student supervision, and tutoring. There are also scholarships that are based on the needs of handicapped or disadvantaged students. Students who have undergone autism or cerebral palsy and those who suffer from learning disabilities, are candidates for these types of scholarships.

The Teaching Assistant Scholarship Program is designed to help individuals with teaching experience to take advantage of the increasing demand for certified teachers in certain states. A teaching assistant is someone who helps a teacher run their classroom. This awardee receives an award of up to five thousand dollars a year and can either work full-time or part-time in assisting their teacher. The Bachelor of Science Degree program in Policy & Practice is specifically designed for students who wish to pursue graduate-level education with a focus on research-based policy practice.
