Tirupati temple may shut amid Covid 19

The passing of a previous cleric of Lord Venkateshwara Swamy sanctuary in Tirumala due to Covid-19 yesterday loaned belief to the interest of the ministers and representatives of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams for an impermanent conclusion of the sanctuary for darshans to check the spread of the coronavirus.

Srinivasa Murthy Deekshitulu (75), one of the 18 clerics of Tirumala sanctuary who had tried positive for Covid-19 a week ago, died at Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences (SVIMS). SVIMS Director B Vengamma said Deekshitulu, who was admitted to the medical clinic on Saturday, was experiencing co-morbidities including diabetes and kidney-related sicknesses. Deekshitulu, who had a place with the Archakam Peddinti family, one of the four groups of innate ministers related with the Tirumala sanctuary for quite a long time, had filled in as the central cleric for more than two
