Union HRD minister promises to look into CBSE result mess

BHUBANESWAR: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Thursday extended the last date for submitting applications for verification of marks to June 27 and the last date for seeking access to photo copies of answer books to June 30.
The board took this decision after a meeting between Union human resources development (HRD) minister Prakash Javadekar and members of parents’ association from Odisha over discrepancies in marks in Class XII board exams. The minister also assured that all students would have access to photo copies of their answer sheets.
Javadekar said the board would re-evaluate the answer sheets of students who come with a court order.
