West Bengali: West Bengal govt lessens charge by Re 1 for every liter, The West Bengal government on Sunday reported a decrease of expense by Re 1 for each liter on petroleum and diesel. The choice, declared by state money serve Amit Mitra, will be successful from 12 PM. He said the move will give some relief to individuals stung by expanding costs of fuel.
“The Center procures Rs 32.90 per liter in assessments from petroleum, while the state gets Rs 18.46 as it were. If there should be an occurrence of diesel, the focal government’s acquiring is Rs 31.80 per liter as against Rs 12.77 for the state,” Mitra said.
Further, he affirmed that the Center had forced cess to maintain a strategic distance from devolution with states, which is “against the attributes of federalism”.
